Since a set of recent updates, the most notable being Gnome but certainly many others also, mythfrontend has started acting strange. Anytime I switch the program to where it is watching video - be it recorded or live TV - the screen position of the mythfrontend window jumps to the upper left corner of my screen. It has never done this before, to the best of my knowledge, in the 3 years I've been running Myth. This only happens when the new function contains video. Switching between all the other Myth screens does nothing out of the ordinary. I haven't updated Myth although I did rebuild it to see if that would fix it but it didn't. I tried the MythTV list first. The only response I got was that it sounded like a window manager issue. That probably fits with either Gnome or maybe some sort of X updates being what started this. I suspect that Myth uses some sort of video acceleration that kicks in at the point where it starts displaying video. Maybe that's involved? Anyway, this whole subject is WAY above my capabilities so it will likely be a bit of a slog for me to get to the bottom of it and get it fixed. Thanks in advance for any ideas about where to look.
