[gentoo-catalyst] next step: stage3

After solving the binutils problem in previous posts to this list, I'm 
finally to stage3...which fails at:
>>> emerge (22 of 96) sys-apps/man-1.6-r1 to /
....
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) man-1.6.tar.gz
* Adding group 'man' to your system ...
*  - Groupid: 15
/usr/portage/eclass/eutils.eclass: line 729: groupadd: command not found
Do I need to start filing bug reports on all these problems, or am I 
just really really unlucky lately?
