I have tracked this down to a matter of waiting for the DHCP client to obtain an IP address. My problem now is that the DHCP client process gets backgrounded during bootup. Does anyone know what I can do to cause the boot process to *wait* on the DHCP client? Is there a change I can make to /etc/conf.d/net or /etc/conf.d/rc?
