Just ask in the right place. =) I'd be happy to mentor you. But I don't
have as much free time as I used to, so you'll have to be a little
flexible when communicating with me.

The first step is to prove you deserve to become a developer, by
basically doing everything they do except committing: Looking over bugs,
reproducing them, fixing them when possible. Instead of committing the
fix, you can simply post a patch on the bug for review and committing by
a developer.

An easy way to start doing this is to add [EMAIL PROTECTED] to your
watch list on Bugzilla, and preferably start hanging out on IRC. Much of
Gentoo's real-time collaboration happens on IRC, so you miss out on a
bit if you can't be there.
