Check into perceus.
Perceus is distro independant, and im sure if you ask Greg nicely he
will help make a stateful and stateless gentoo vnfs capsule. (the vnfs
capsule is how the provisioning is done. basically its a chroot system
so should be an easy integration with the way we generally do things in
gentoo.
