[gentoo-desktop] fglrx + opengl + kde 3.4 + start new session

Hi, I've recently installed gentoo. I have a radeon card and the emerged 
ati proprietary drivers work very well as well as the TV-out. But if I 
start a New Session (from kde 3.4), although I still have TV-Out, the 
new X server session doesn't accelerate opengl. I wonder if this is a 
limitation of the driver, or I'm missing some permissions somewhere, or 
perhaps an option in the xorg.conf.

My system has an up-to-date gentoo installed, with KDE and KDM (3.4, 
i.e. ~x86), running on an athlon xp2000+ 512Mb SATA-HD-160GB ATI Radeon 
9200pro, and installed from stage 2.

I would really REALLY like to have accelerated opengl in all my desktops 
(one for each family member). Any help, clues, hints, etc will be more 
than welcome.
