I note that the Gnome-2.8 Desktop Users Guide tells me that I can edit gnome
menus from nautilus by using a location URI of "applications:///". When I
try this, I get "'applications:///' is not a valid location. - Please check
the spelling and try again."

What gives here? I'm running Nautilus 2.10.1, which appears to be the
version of gnome on the system rather than 2.8, as noted in the help, but
since the docs are what is installed at this point, I assume they're
current.
