Hi,

Just a shot into the darkness, but it seems like an "ordinary" segfault.
It can occur in some non-(easily)reproductable situations, for example
resource exhaustion, or memory/motherboard error, or over-heating and so
on. OOo compilation needs a lot of tmp place and takes a long time, so
it will heat your system if it isn't cooled appropriately.

HTH.
