[gentoo-desktop] ati and x preblem

Today I installed ati-drivers on my gentoo(kernel: 2.6.19-r5) video card:ATI
x300SE .when i did erverything on the wiki:HOWTO ATI DRIVERS.when i did
/opt/ati/bin/fglrxinfo.it appared an error:can't open display:0.who can tell
me,why? Thank you!
