Interestingly enough, extended attributes (incl ACLs) have been in 2.6 from the beginning... What is it you are referring to?
I am referring to gentoo-test-sources/gentoo-test-sources-2.4.22, the only one currently available. The 2.6 version is gentoo-dev-sources/gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.0_beta9.
