You can add me to that list; I test my apps on x86 and PPC (most all of 
them are console / daemon) and will generally commit with ~x86 and ~ppc 
keywords wherever possible.

I do have to agree with the sentiment in the original post, however. There 
was a case just recently (well, inside of a month) where an `emerge system 
-u` on my PowerMac resulted in unsatisfied dependancies because of 
single-arch thinking. :<

Anyways; here's hoping we can gently nudge enough x86-only devs into 
considering other architectures when they commit; especially in the case 
where system packages are involved.
