no, that's something else, ie part of the 'set' command.
it sb right at the beginning under 'Options' between '-s' & '-D'
& shd say '-x  Print commands and their arguments as they are executed'.

responding to the other comment, i'll see if i can send in a bug,
but wdn't it be simpler if the relevant developer reads this & fixes it ?
