[gentoo-dev] creating an ebuild for AVview

I'm attempting to create an ebuild for AVview (http://gatos.sourceforge.net/avview.php). 
The build is a little odd, though. If you want to add support for video capture, you have 
to point it to a compiled ffmpeg source tree. How would I handle this?
