Like a big splinter stuck in your finger... You just grit your teeth and pull it out and get rid of it so it stop hurting...

Why do I mention this? Because this is what Linux DVB support in Gentoo has become. It's horribly unmaintained. People just keep complaining it doesn't work. No Gentoo dev has hardware to test it. Half the sites I try to get info from are either down or just have source code snapshots. It doesn't even look like there's any unified work other then what's in the kernel. Programs that are designed to use DVB failing because DVB support doesn't work.

And in the long run... doesn't the new FCC broadcast flag break all DVB cards?

Either way... that's my complaint. I'm tired of hearing "it doesn't work" and not having the info or hardware to fix it. At this point, DVB uses eclasses that are going away and there's no point in updating DVB to new eclasses since it doesn't work and it won't work. So...

Don't complain here... Just provide info and solutions here. And let me know if you're willing to test like crazy.

Oh, and flaming me for removing this won't work. It'll just make me remove it faster. Right now I'm planning on nuking this at the end of the month.
