Sorry about the delay with this. Our goals for 2005 are as follows:
* Satisfy the baselayout virtual
* Satisfy the coreutils virtual
* Implement separation of keywords, profiles, or some other mechanism to determine the difference between Darwin and Mac OS X ebuilds
* Manage the perl mess - work around existing perl collisions while supporting Gentoo's @INC reversal, etc.
* Manage the python mess - again, work around existing python collisions while supporting installation of python addons via Gentoo.
* Implementation of pathspec, or a system to install to /opt/gentoo instead of / (perhaps on a per-package basis).
