You end up with this: /usr/portage/packages/All/emacs-21.4-r12 /usr/portage/packages/All/emacs-21 When you go to merge your virtual, it will always merge the package, even if you're *trying* to merge an emacs alternative. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
