Peter, I'll ask simply, and politely: stop being a nuisance, especially
since you can't be bothered to become a developer (not that I would like
to have you among the developers, honestly; I'd gladly take a few more
mgornys beside you).

This policy has been around for a very long time, and will be kept
around. It's not going to change, because it makes no sense for it to
change. It might be inconvenient to _you_, but once again, we're not
here to do stuff only when it's convenient.

So, please, really please, stop thinking like whatever your experience
is, that's the only experience out there.

Between you and Rich, I think you've been voicing your opinion just
because you can, and without thinking about repercussion for others,
under the principle that the incumbent is always wrong.
