Read the full thread that belongs to the message quoted earlier: You had announced the EAPI 3 (what later became 4) branch with the --d-d-t feature, asking council members for comments. Your message mentioning econf --enable-dependency-tracking was a reply to leio's question about the feature. How else should one understand this, if not as a clarification that overriding the default should be possible? Ulrich
