Hello Robin, I don't understand why in general people focus on what is missing into a simple script that merges packages instead of ask himself where this feature should go. In my opinion, we can try to do whatever to the script or we can write a new one but the main problem is in portage that only states in which phase emerge is dying. If emerge is able to tell the exact error, then it can be used also from users that want to do bug reports. Agostino
