Fair enough - though the relevant part is the short commentary preceding the perhaps mechanical release announcement. The deblob program(s) previously used sed and awk instead of python or perl and seem to have switched more because of performance than because of any features in either python or perl. A quick look into the source code seems to confirm that there's no strong tie to Python. //Peter
