Recently I just did a emerge -u world and got the newest gentoo-sources kernel package. Because I was in the mood to try something new I also emerged the genkernel package. Then following the "x86 install" instructions I executed genkernel. To my dismay it started trying to compile r5. I then did "man genkernel" hoping to find the answer. "No manual entry for genkernel".
It then occurred to me that I probably needed to update the symlink of /usr/src/linux. Maybe we you emerge a new gentoo-source it should do that. But that is a question for the developers. This leads me to my question. Is anyone working on a genkernel man page. Do we need one? I will write one if it is desired. ~Michael -- [email protected] mailing list
