Hello, I'm trying to setup an embedded server using a VIA EPIA motherboard (x86). I chose to write the kernel messages to the serial console in order to throw away my screen and my keyboard. The next step was to configure grub to use the serial console. I did not know that was possible, but I found and followed : http://www.rajeevnet.com/linux/grub_serial_console.html And it worked !
Now I have a little question : How can I disable the support for the keyboard and the standard console in the kernel ? It seems their support is always enabled on x86. Does anyone has a piece of advice ?
