Thanks again for the reply! so ill need the following stuff on the NAS:
- gentoo-utils (q) - emerge or pkcocre (pkgcore preferred???) - python (any chance that this will work with tinypythen etc ??) - a portage-tree (squashed and partly trimmed) That will eat up way more space than i have. Since im talking about a NAS I could probably only but a bootstrap-script into the rootfs and fetch all the files once the HD is up and running ... But still this solution is nether lightwight nor nice in any way from my point of view.
