That's because (as I just found by testing) PAX_KERNEXEC "mitigates" the oops. To put it in something of a boolean form, the following produces the crashes: PAX_MEMORY_UDEREF && !(PAX_MEMORY_UDEREF && PAX_KERNEXEC)
