Hung as in not doing anything noticeable and 0% CPU usage, in this state for > 5min (might have been longer). After this first "hang" no more emerges seemed to work, after a cache clean up (rm /var/tmp/confcache/*) still no emerges working. After a reemerge of confcache (might have been a reboot too) everything seems to be working again (even a reemerge of libsndfile).
