I'm currently running on Ti Powerbook 800 mhz with no problems.
Exactly where in the compilation process are you getting the error? Is
it when you are doing 'make menuconfig' or is it when you are doing a
'make && make modules_install' ?
Also, in your /usr/src directory do you have a symbolic link that points
to to your linux source that looks like this:
linux -> /usr/src/linux-2.6.10
