Not sure how active this list is, but I thought I'd just toss a question out here. I'm cooking up an ebuild for R, a statistics language/environment (www.r-project.org) which is similar to S (an older stats system). My qualm is naming the ebuild. R is such a silly name, and doing a emerge -s R is mostly useless. So, I'm considering using other names:
R-project R-statistics R-language (not to be confused with erlang :))
...
any suggestions for this? (ebuild would probably go in sci-mathematics)
