1. Compiles fine from upstream source on both -march=athlon-tbird and -march=athlon64. 2. There's already an enhancement bug in Bugzilla to get this in Portage, https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31416. Interesting bug, number, eh? I suppose *some* package had to get that one, but I think it's fitting that a scientific package enhancement got "pi". 3. It's marked "maintainer wanted" but there is an ebuild on the bug, which I haven't tested. 4. I'm installing the R package (rggobi) now from CRAN ...
