Yes, you are on the right path, if you could File a New Bug, if there are, as you state, no existing bugs, then we can make sure the right people see it, and the update is properly tracked. If you can add broadly what you've written in your email in the comments, that would be great - it doesn't look like a difficult fix, hopefully. As the bug is updated, bugzilla will email you with progress, so that you can see when the fix is committed. Best regards, Michael.
