Hi Tuinslak, There will be two major parts to our project. Part One will be a PHP/MySQL based application that will allow profiling each machine, this application will provide the web based interface that allows reviewing and ticking off updates for deployment.
This application will be designed so that it can just be used an intellengent check list or be integrated with the second part of the project. Part Two of this project will look at developing an application that resides on every concerned Gentoo machine and downloads instructions for running "emerge" or updates. I still haven't finalised the design or specifications. I am still trying to evaluate if I am contradicting any existing tools. Any feedback is welcome.
