Actually (yes I know, double posting again!) I do know of something that gets quite close and is also well designed and easy to customize. The Xaraya content management system comes with an FAQ publication type. (Publication types are basically types of content - Xaraya comes with the usual news, article, weblink, etc types, but more importantly, the back-end has a point and click interface to build custom publication types). And the backend is web-based so its easy to add/edit content. Customization is very easy thanks to the fact it uses its own small set of tags (it is XML-based). I built a quick intranet site in about 2 days. If you install the full package it has hundreds of modules to handle all sorts of things like calendaring, news feeds, XML RPC, blogging, HTML editing (there's even a help desk module). As you can imagine, I very enamored of Xaraya but there's one very big snag that stopped me deploying it - the current version 1.0-RC3 does not work with the current PHP 4.4 - some sort of obscure reference bug in 4.4 (it works in PHP 5 though). The Xaraya developers dont want to change their code to work with 4.4, so Im waiting for the next version of the mod_php ebuild to be marked stable :-/ -- Aj. -- [email protected] mailing list
