I am investigating a similar solution. Does anyone know how to get around windows 2000's inability to handle more than a few hundred print queues? I've got an application I'm trying to load balance, but in order to do so I have to have every possible output destination ( printer ) defined on every windows server in the application cluster. I'm gonna be offloading the printing to a linux print server, but it appears that windows can only handle so many print queues .... ... anyone ever dealt with a similar issue? > I have read the Gentoo howto for this and tested the procedure.
