Hi there!!
I try to run rsyncd inside a gentoo vserver. After init-script run, theres no rsyncd process visible. The error in /var/log/messages reads:
Jan 30 15:07:16 scylla rsyncd[20351]: rsync: open inbound socket on port 873 failed: Address family not supported by protocol
Jan 30 15:07:16 scylla rsyncd[20351]: rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at socket.c(466)
strace on "rsync --daemon" states near the end:
getsockopt(0, SOL_SOCKET, SO_TYPE, 0xbffba0d0, 0xbffba0d4) = -1 ENOTSOCK (Socket operation on non-socket)
I'm somehow confused. Other network services, like apache, sshd and so on run fine. Any sugestions? Every idea is welcome! So thanx in advance!
