Hey all,

I've setup DHCP on Linux for the first time (2.6.12-gentoo-r9) and most
things seem to work well. The problem I'm having is that we have
multiple domains that I need populated in the "search" parameter of
/etc/resolv.conf (e.g. "search joesbarandgrill.com jbg.com"). I checked
/lib/rcscripts/net.modules.d/helpers.d/config-system, but with my
limited knowledge of how the rc scripts work, I didn't see that it would
do this. One other caveat is that the boxes serving up DHCP addresses
are Active Directory -- I've heard rumors that this behavior may be
another MS example of failing to adhere to standards.

I could easily hack config-system to hard-code the default search
domains, but I'm looking for a more permanent "real" fix.

Thoughts?

TIA!
Rich
