Well,

I think that metalog for a syslog daemon, and a nice metalog config file that 
sets file limits and
maxium storage of up to two weeks is nice for server systems, specially those 
that act as
nat/proxy/vpn boxes.

Minimalism tend to be a good add-on for certain server profiles, and minimizing 
routine tasks sounds
good to me.
