I have had great luck with using CoreFTP client on windows to connect to my *nix SSH boxes (any ssh server for that matter). Nice GUI, works identical to FTP, and is easy set up - just check the ssh box.. I am sure that there are plenty of other ftp clients that allow transfer over ssh also; If its linux to linux, scp works fine.

Hello,

I've been setting up my webserver using Gentoo and so far it's been

(duh!)

So I want to keep things secure (I've been working on that - I've been
taking the advice of the people at the Silicon Valley Linux User's
Group) and decided that this fish protocol (which I've been told is
FTP tunneled through SSH) is a good thing, and since I've already got
SSH working I decided it's be worth a shot.

eix fish tells me that my work is cut out for me.  I don't know where to look.

I was wondering if anyone here had any information that could help me.
I've been searching through the Gentoo Wiki with no success.

Just so we can save some time, I've already rejected vsftpd since it's
too anonymous-login oriented to make me feel safe using it.
