For completeness, I tried kernel version 2.6.13-rc1 (which has the membar changes built in) on SB1000(2x900). Up time was under 10 minutes before a hard lock. Just about any sort of heavy CPU/disk activity is fatal (I was using a gimp rebuild as my stress test to a normally running system (X, firefox, xchat, evolution, etc.), because gimp rebuild for me is a pretty reliable kernel killer: On U60(2x450)+membar, it took three rebuild attempts to get a successful run to completion without a kernel suicide; SB1000+membar has never made it more than a minute or so into a gimp build.) > > > > David S.
