Just FYI, this experimental boots on my e450, but only after disabling the 4th Gb of memory as suggested by Pengi in the forums:
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-3125170.html?sid=6e8cc73dcfa9b304d78f485c074d00ab#3125170 Presumably that's the silo issue. Now to see if I can fix my root volume... :) Thanks! Yeah, dm-mod is a 2.6 (and lvm2) thingie. For 2.4 you use lvm-user (instead of lvm2) and lvm-mod (instead of dm-mod). If you want 2.6/lvm2 you can try my experimental (as in doesn't work on many machine models and i know and i'm not about to fix it atm since it's silo having issues) livecd @ http://dev.gentoo.org/~gustavoz/sparc/experimental/ - -- Gustavo Zacarias Gentoo/SPARC monkey
