I have several low end machines setup as X terminals to a higher powered
machine. The X terms do a net boot, mount the root over NFS to the server and
start up X. I have kdm running as the session manager on the server and the X
terms can login fine and runs apps, etc.

My question is that my users will want to put in a floppy on the terminal and
copy files to/from it, how do I do this (without having them using a V/C and
using scp or rcp)? Ideally I'd like to provide an icon on the desktop similar
to existing desktop icons for floppy and CD-ROM drives. I looked into nbd but
it only serves files, and NFS (I think) only exports directories, not
devices. I think I've seen this done before but I cannot remember how....

Any ideas?
