... errrm. No! I doesn't work... I unziped the 100dpi files. Afterwards I had 
my fonts back, but I didn't restart X (only kde). This afternoon I had to 
restart X and it failed as long until I provided the compressed files back 
into the 100dpi directory... (can't remember the error when starting X, but 
it was something like "cannot find font fixed...").

I emerged freetype-2.1.3-r2 but this had no effect.

So, does anyone have more ideas?
