Hi people!
I installed/used Oracle 8i on RedHat 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 and Mandrake 8.1, 8.2..
without much problems on the installation stage...But here in Gentoo.. when I
try to run sqplus..:
oracle@apogeo ~ $ sqlplus /nolog

SQL> connect / as sysdba;
oracle: relocation error: /home/oracle/lib/libjox8.so: undefined symbol:
__fixunssfdi
ERROR:
ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact
?�?�?�?�?�
That happend before & AFTER applying the stubs patch.
I installed Oracle on /home/oracle, and my .bash_profile:

I didn't have any problem during the linking stage.
Also dbassist didn't start 'cos another problem:
oracle@apogeo ~ $ dbassist

I use blackdown jdk 1.3.1.
