alt-F# should work just fine. what you're seeing there is a login prompt asking for a username/password combo... since the password was radomised at boot up, you need to use "passwd" in the first screen (alt-F1) to set a memorable password, and then use it on the other screens. screen 1 # passwd <change your password> alt-F2 screen 2: login: root password: <the new password> -- only after the last tree has been cut down only after the last river has been poisoned only after the last fish has been caught only then will you learn that money can't be eaten. - unknown -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
