[gentoo-user] Floppy Install

Hello 

        I am looking at installing Gentoo on my Compaq Armada laptop the
thing is the dvdrom has stopped reading cdr's and cdrw's .I was thinking
of trying the floppy install but am not certain as to what floppy distro
to use .Does anyone have any idea's or could point me in a direction
,seeing the Gentoo install pages suggest not to use the tomsrtbt disc
