Hi,

I would like to install Maple 8.
It requires glibc 2.1.2-11
when trying to install, I get the following error msgs:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] cdrom # sh ./installMapleLinuxSU
dirname: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory
/bin/ls: error while loading shared libraries: librt.so.1: cannot open shared

basename: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared

basename: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared

rm: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object

Do I need to install an older version of glibc alongside my current one?
If so, how?

thanks in advance
