I had a problem earlier in which I am istalling from a usb cdrom drive
on my laptop. My computer can boot from usb but unfortunaly linux can't
install from it.
Well I got a copy of the Gentoo install disk on /dev/hda5 now. I am able
to mount it and everything. Unfortunatly when I try to contine with the
install script all that happens is that /linuxrc does is attempt to
mount the device /newroot/dev/cdroms/cdrom*. If there is some way to
force the script to mount /dev/hda5 please let me know.
If there isn't, is there a way to edit the script? I mounted the iso
using mount -o loop and couldn't see anything to edit.
