Malcolm,
I do understand your loss, and I assure you that it will get easier to
deal with as time passes. 14 years after loosing my son, I remember
mostly just the good times and sometimes go for months without the
depressions that were common in the past.
I read your orriginal post and was moved by it, but I too am a cynic
and figured that either someone else would take the risk I was
unwilling to, or that you could find someone among your friends and
resources that could help you.
You must understand that we as Linux users are used to less than honest
tactics initiated by certain other OS companies and groups sympathetic
to them, that are designed to undermine faith in the security of the
Linux OS. The fact that you own a company who's business seems to be
computer security does raise flags.
Be assured that no one here intentionally tried to cause you pain. Many
Linux users, myself included, are less than adept in the social graces.
Forgive the geeks, they know not what they say.
