Ok, if ed is there I'll at least give it a spin. And let the record reflect
I did NOT intend to start Editor Wars XXVII...

.. but this was one reason I asked. If it's good enough for the LiveCD
install, what's wrong with stage1? Guess that was my issue.

The last time I installed was the first time from LiveCD: I've just used the
mini installs and built from scratch before that.

One other thing that would be nice, if any of the vi packages (I only know
of elvis and vim at this point) would symlink to vi. Sure. it's another
5-second command.. but would just be a nice touch. (besides, isn't a
sysadmin requirement laziness?).
