It's the extended characters. I can't see things such as the currency symbol for the pound, cent symbol, etc. > If you ask on there, you'll definitely need to mention which > version > you're trying to run, as XChat is in flux these days after the recent > release of version 2.0. :) > -- > // Carl Hudkins :: ICQ 5723399 :: PGP 50238D9E Thanks and I'm using the latest 1.8.10x version. I've not tried the new version 2 but have wondered how diffrent it is from the one I'm using. I had a little suprise the other day tho on trying the other chat client I have installed. Every time I started bitchx on my router/firewall the cdrom came on. Later someone mentioned to me that default it has cdrom support or something. So far tho not really found another chat client I like as much as Xchat. But I'm used to having the support for extended characters. Having friends in europe now I just see partial sentances if they did use an extended character. -- Susie VE7 HFA [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://arienadean.tripod.com/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------- "I'm a pessimist because of intelligence, but an optimist because of will." - Antonio Gramsci -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
