I'm trying to install a new Gentoo system right now (it's like my tenth or
so) and there are definitely some related problems here. I've got the same
python error after "emerge portage". In fact, just executing python will
generate the libstdc++.so.5 error.
None of my other systems have GCC-3.2.2 yet (it must have come out like
this week?)
I see on my GCC-3.2.1 systems, the libstdc++ file is in the gcc-lib/3.2.1
directory. It's not in the GCC-3.2.2.
gcc-config, apparently a python script, fails with the same error. I'd
type it in, but I'm untar'ing the stage3 again and will try masking 3.2.2
and see if that works.
