Most svga cards have support for the vesa frame buffer, so it does have FB support. Just not support for high resolutions + display frequencies + many colors or accelleration. Paul ps. Nvidia is not so bad, their drivers are fast, and really more buggy than the open drivers. At my work I have a matrox card of which the driver bails out sometimes too, only by a reboot, or even reset, can I get the display to change (frozen image) again. -- Paul de Vrieze Researcher Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Homepage: http://www.cs.kun.nl/~pauldv
